In this episode, we take a Deeper Dive into exploring your relationship with money. You may be inspired by something from this episode right now while you are listening, and also trust that you may work to collect the building blocks and tools provided and create your masterpiece in the days, weeks, and months to come.  It is a process, embrace the journey.

Step 1: Take an Energy Inventory.

Pause, breathe, check in with your energy right now – self awareness is key.

If you don’t know what is getting in the way of accomplishing your dreams, you can’t remove the blocks

Body –notice any  pressure, tension, comfort, excitement; use the breath

Mind – what is happening in your mind, what are your thoughts, when do you get distracted 

(I keep a “Tangent Tablet” to help me stay on track, especially for these shorter episodes)

Heart – what are the emotions coming up for you in this moment?

Notice thoughts, sensations, emotions – don’t try to fight them – notice and embrace, you can process them now or acknowledge that you will come back to them later

Soul – what are your beliefs? Why are you here? Soul identity and story -

I love you money!

For the love of money - fall in love with money and stay in love with money! You and money, make it work, make it last.

What brought you here to this episode?

Spirit – Check in with your energy – spiritual, emotional, mental, physical – what are you carrying with you? What is it doing inside of you? How is it showing up in your relationships with others?

Cultivate a deeper relationship with yourself, throughout this process and you will be better able to show up wholly and genuinely for yourself and with your people and with your money.

Step 2: Take a Relationship Inventory.

Envision a current relationship in your life that is fulfilling, healthy and not overly complicated - a relationship that is built on a foundation of kindness, gratitude, respect, and love.  This relationship can be a romantic partnership, a friendship, a family relationship.

Identify the shared Values, Mission, and Vision of you and your relationship partner.

Identify your differences (interests, personal strengths, hobbies, values, beliefs, etc.) that you can view as complementary. 

In a healthy relationship, each partner invests energy, time and space for themselves, apart from each other and apart from the relationship. The partners also invest time and energy into nurturing the relationship.

This formula (our FUN! Love Formula) promotes a healthy balance in the relationship.

Time and space apart does not mean that something is wrong or that the relationship is in danger. Each partner invests energy-time, emotions, money, etc. in the relationship, and the partners hold space together for themselves, for each other, and for the relationship.

Step 3: Tune In To Your Energy Flow. 

Begin with your breath and notice the cycle of flow, similar to the flow and cycle of money.

Check in and recognize the dynamic – fill up with breath, pause at the top, knowing that you are letting the breath go and you have faith and trust that it will come back in to sustain you, to bring you life.

You know that this is a cycle, you know that this is what happens because you have seen it happen before; you have faith and trust that the cycle will continue.

In the same way:

Money comes in and money goes out.

You share time and energy and space with your partner, your friend, and with money and there are times that you go your separate ways, enjoying time and space apart.

There is enough breath in the world, there is an overabundant amount of money, love, and joy in the world.

The more that you give, the more you receive – love, money – generously and strategically aligned with your Values, Mission, and Vision – with faith, knowledge, and trust that it is coming back – It does and it will!

Step 4: Create a Healthy Flow In Your Relationship With Money.

Evaluate your current relationship with money.

How are you using unhealthy relationship strategies with money? – avoidance, conflict, ignoring, disrespect, anger, etc. 

What old wounds, life experiences, memories, previous relationships, and scars sneak up and affect your relationship with money?  Sometimes our scars prickle.

How are you showing up for money? Make the time for yourself and for money and for your relationship with money – to understand the conflict, to explore where the blocks are coming from.

Use the FUN Love! Formula to cultivate a healthy and fulfilling relationship with money. 

 When money doesn’t feel safe, comfortable, and loved it is less likely to show up in your life (like people!!!).
