Did you know that there is an 8th chakra???! I recently learned about the 8th Chakra - the Soul Star Chakra, and I am telling you about it today! This episode is a continuation of our Season 5 Series - Loving Yourself with Confidence!! I have recently learned about the soul star chakra when I stumbled upon a meditation on the insight timer app, where I am one of thousands of inspirational teachers: https://insighttimer.com/dr.lyz 

The soul: that which we are authentically, at our core - where we come from, our identity - (gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, ability), our cultural identity our family/ancestry. The soul is believed to extend beyond our physical experience on this earth.

I invite you to reflect on your own personal and cultural experiences and beliefs to help you connect with and articulate your meaning of the soul.

We are called to rely on faith, belief, and aspects of our awareness that we can’t always see or “prove” when we characterize our own definition of the soul and its meaning.

The 8th chakra is referred to as the Soul Star chakra, Vyapini in Sanskrit, or universal heart.

Chakras are wheels of energy or light that run along the spine - the root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown chakras. Each chakra supports the balance, health, and wellness of the whole: mind, body, and spirit.

The vyapini (8th chakra) is the seat of the soul. The soul star is considered a point of transformation. It’s central to our purpose, life mission, and connection to a greater spiritual and universal consciousness. It is a source of connection, transcendence, and flow.

The soul star or the 8th chakra is located somewhere between one foot and three feet above, and around the body. 

How do you tap into your soul? How do you access your soul energy? It is your soul to clarify, define, and embody.  And, it is an exciting work in progress to continue to learn, grow, and tune into our souls.

Use this episode as an invitation to deepen your awareness of who you are at your soul level. Connect with others - in soul and in spirit!

The soul star chakra is our connection to our “higher self”, our “true self,” our “authentic self”.
